Monday Dec. 17th is Act of Kindness Challenge Day
ILikeNicePeople writes "We ran across another website who is promoting Monday Dec. 17th as a Bloggers Unite Act of Kindness challenge. The reason for this challenge is to get people all around the World to do an act of kindness and post their act on their website to inspire others.
We applaud Bloggers Unite for making this challenge and we want to ask all of you to accept the challenge as well. On Monday we hope you'll all make a special effort to do something kind during your day. It can be as simple as a smile to a stranger or as generous as making a donation of time or money to a good cause.

This month my family has been actively involved in several projects through our Church, Operation Christmas Child, and the local Toys for Tots. Today (Monday) I decided to do something on the Bloggers Unite Act of Kindness day although time was limited. My new neighbors have only been in their house for about a month so they haven't had the time or resources to purchase all the things you they need to maintain their yard. Today I took the initiative of blowing all of their leaves with my blower. It was actually fun because I knew they would appreciate my kind gesture. There were a lot of leaves which made several huge piles. I even moved the piles into the woods behind my house. When they arrived home from work they were quite impressed that I would do this for no reason other than being Nice. This small gesture will more than likely result in a great friendship. Either way it felt good to help out my neighbor for no reason other than being "neighborly".
It doesn't take much to help others but the rewards are quite large. We hope you'll take some initiative and do a kind act today as well, and we know you'll enjoy the good feeling you deserve for your conscious effort to help others. Hopefully this good feeling in your heart will even inspire you to help others Every Day...not just on Monday!
